Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We’ve got answers.
Everything you need to know about ordering, applying, and caring for your DTF transfers. Still stuck? Shoot us a message.
What exactly is a DTF transfer?
DTF stands for Direct-to-Film. We print your artwork onto a special PET film using high-quality CMYK + white inks, then apply a hot-melt adhesive powder. You press the transfer onto a shirt, hoodie, tote — basically any cotton, polyester, or blend fabric — and peel the film off. The result: vibrant, soft-hand prints that wash and stretch like a screen print but without the setup cost.
How long do orders take to ship?
Standard production is 24–72 hours from when your order is placed. Need it sooner? Add a Rush Order at checkout for same-day or next-business-day handling. All orders ship from our Arizona facility via USPS or UPS depending on weight and destination.
What’s the difference between DTF and UV DTF?
DTF is for fabric — shirts, hoodies, tote bags, hats. You apply with a heat press. UV DTF is for hard surfaces — tumblers, glass, ceramic, wood, metal, phone cases. No heat needed; just peel, press, and rub. UV DTF is great for cup wraps and product packaging where you can’t apply heat.
What heat press settings should I use?
- 300°F (149°C) for 10-15 seconds using medium to heavy pressure.
- Allow the product to cool to the touch and cold peel.
- Using a teflon sheet, do a second press for 10 seconds; this ensures the edges of the designs are seated.
Do you have a minimum order?
Nope. Order one transfer or 1,000 — same fast turnaround. Our gang sheet builder is priced by the inch, so you only pay for the transfer space you use. Small batches and one-offs welcome.
How do I prepare my artwork file?
Upload a PNG with a transparent background. Minimum 300 DPI at the size you want it printed. RGB or CMYK both work — we’ll convert it. Avoid JPEGs (no transparency) and very thin lines under 1pt. Need help? Our artwork checker tool will pre-flight your file before you order.
Will my prints fade or crack in the wash?
When applied correctly, our DTF transfers can last up to 100+ washes without cracking, peeling, or significant fading. Wash inside-out in cold water, tumble dry low or hang dry, and skip the bleach. We’ve tested every batch in-house.
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Our DTF gang sheets are the wholesale option. By ganging multiple designs onto a single sheet, you pay the lowest per-print price. The more you buy, the more you save.
