Every placement at a glance
Full front sizes for every shirt
Shirt width is measured flat, armpit to armpit. It changes by brand, so measure yours if you can.
Measure first
Lay the shirt flat and measure armpit to armpit. A full front design usually looks best at a little over half of that.
Between two sizes?
Go with the smaller one for a small shirt or a busy design. It’s better to have some room around it than to wrap into the sleeves.
Hoodies
Stay above the front pocket. On most adult hoodies that means about 10 to 12 in wide.

Placement
Where to put your transfer
Eight common transfer placements with the recommended print size for adult shirts. Smaller for youth, see the chart above.
Center Chest
6–10″ wide
4″ below the collar, centered between shoulders. Reads cleanly under jackets.
Left Chest
2–5″ wide
4″ below the collar, centered over the far edge of the collar. Classic uniform / corporate spot.
Full Front
10–12″ wide
3″ below the collar, centered. Designs 6″ or shorter can go 4″ down. Statement graphics.
Full Back
11–13″ wide
Centered, 3″ below the collar. Great for team / band print runs.
Upper Back
10–14″ wide
4″ below the collar, sits high so it’s not hidden by a jacket or backpack.
Back Collar / Neck
1–3″ wide
2″ below the collar seam. Great for brand marks and small logos.
Sleeve
1–3″ wide
1″ above the sleeve hem, centered under the shoulder seam. Pair with a center-chest design for a clean uniform look.
Oversized
12–15″ wide
Edge-to-edge, even wrapping the shoulder seams. Streetwear / drop-shoulder fit.
